Shelby Pirrello
Mrs. Pirrello is our director and the mommy and me teacher. This is her 4th year at CTK. She has been teaching toddlers for over 9 years. She is a mother of three wonderful kids, her daughter and her two sons. Before having kids, she was teaching, a nanny and also helped in the GPPSS for a few years, as a sub and kindergarten aid. Her last job was teaching at the preschool program in GPPSS. When not working she is home with her husband and kids enjoying time together. She loves every minute of being part of CTK and the wonderful Mommy and Me program.
Ally Lozon
Ms. Lozon is our assistant director and lead 3s teacher. She has a master degree in early childhood education. She has been a nanny for 16 years. This is her 3rd year at Christ the King and her 2nd year as a head teacher in our 3s room. When she is not at school, she loves cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She is so excited for a new school year.
Regiane Fante
Mrs. Fante was born and raised in Brazil. She moved to the US 17.5 years ago to work as an au pair for an American family caring for twin boys. She worked with this family for 1.5 years, and after completing my program, she moved to Michigan to get married and have been married for 16 years. She discovered Christ the King when her oldest child was three years old. She joined the program, and so did all the other children. It’s a blessing to be a part of this preschool. She genuinely enjoy working with children and spending time with them, witnessing their growth and transformation throughout the year. Her goal is to be a vessel of God’s blessings for each child and their families, most importantly, to demonstrate Jesus’ love to them and help them grow closer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Jola Petrela
Mrs. Petrela was born and raised in Europe and moved to Grosse Pointe in 2008, which has been home ever since. If you ever wonder why I have an accent, that is why—English is my third language!My husband and I crossed paths 23 years ago, and he has been the love of my life ever since. We have two children who are our pride and joy. I LOVE spending time with my family, reading a good book, or watching a good movie.I have bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Human Services, as well as a Master of Business Administration.This will be my fourth year at Christ the King! I encourage our students to be curious, ask questions, share ideas, and remember it’s okay to make mistakes.To our families, thank you for your continued trust. I can’t wait for another wonderful year of learning, friendships, and laughter
Beth Carswell
Mrs. Carswell has lived in GP her whole life expected for two years she lived in Tokyo, Japan with her husband of 24 years, four children, and three cats. One of her children attend MSU and another one just graduated from there this past spring, go green and the other two attend GP South HS. She loves working with children and helping them learn and grow
Megan Petrus
Megan Petrus is a wife and mom of two. She has been married to her husband, Michael, for 10 years, and together they have two amazing kids, Mila (5) and Mikey (2½). They love making family memories, especially in Florida—it’s their favorite place to escape to whenever they get the chance! When she is not chasing after the kids, she loves relaxing with a Pure Barre class or a Peloton ride. Her favorite color is pink, and she definitely an energy-drink-over-coffee kind of girl!
Sarah Glappa
Mrs. Sarah Glappa is celebrating her 5th year at Christ the King! She is a mom who loves spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors. She truly enjoys watching children learn, grow, and gain confidence, and feels so lucky to be part of those little moments every day. She is looking forward to learning, laughing, and making lots of memories!
Sam Marinello
Hi families! My name is Miss Sam, and I’m so excited to be part of your child’s preschool experience this year! This is my third year in Tiny tots. I come from a big family and have two brothers—I’m the middle child! A fun fact about me is that I played soccer from age 4 through my senior year of high school. I LOVE crafting! Some of my favorites are making homemade greeting cards and string bracelets. My favorite color is purple, but I also love teal and adding a little glitter whenever I can! I’m naturally a little shy at first, but I’m very caring and patient and love building relationships with children and their families. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, loved, encouraged, and excited to learn. Outside of school, I enjoy movies , music , and playing sports with friends and family. My favorite meal is spaghetti with garlic bread, and my favorite animal is the sea turtle! I’m so excited for a year full of learning, laughter, creativity, and lots of fun with your little ones!
