For the hope burning in us, for the joy and peace You have given us in Christ by the power of the Spirit, 0 God, we rejoice in You, we praise You, we sing Your Name before all the world; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who with You and the Holy Spirit are one God with dominion over us forever.
Holy Spirit, who sanctifies and keeps us in saving faith, keep the vision and excitement of Christ’s coming to us and for us so alive in us that we constantly understand ourselves as people ready for His appearing; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who with You and the Father are one God with dominion over us forever.
Lord of the seedtime and harvest, Who set all living things in motion and Who maintains them in constant care, we are grateful for the life-sustaining gifts we receive from Your hand each day, praying that there be always enough to supply the needs of the whole human family until the end of time; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who with You and the Holy Spirit are one God with dominion over us forever.

O GOD, before Whose face the generations rise and pass away, the Strength of those who labor and suffer, and the Repose of the holy and blessed dead: We rejoice in the Communion of Thy Saints. We remember all who have faithfully lived; all who have peacefully died, and especially those most dear to us who have entered into rest with Thee. Lift us into light and love; and give us at last our portion with those who have trusted in Thee and striven in all things to do Thy holy will. Unto Thy Name, with the Church on earth and the Church in heaven, we ascribe all honor and glory, world without end.
Ascended Lord, who as Word came to dwell among us, that we might know the love of the Father, lead us ever deeper into the Scriptures—under the blessed guidance of the Holy Spirit—that we learn again and again of the freedom from sin and the Law that Your Gospel has brought us, and that we increase more and more in the life lived to Your Glory through willing service to our fellowman; who with the Father and the Holy Spirit are one God with dominion over us forever.
0 Lord, righteous Judge, Protector of Your chosen people, keep us steady in the faith, fighting the good fight, for the crown of righteousness is indeed laid up for us who have loved the Christ’s appearing; through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord, who with You and the Holy Spirit are one God with dominion over us forever.
Holy Spirit, Author and Keeper of the sacred Word, encourage and guide us into the Scriptures that through them we may learn more about Christ and be trained in righteousness and so be equipped for every good work; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who with You and the Father are one God with dominion over us forever.
Gracious God, who in grace and mercy supplies our temporal needs, give us faith to await Your gifts and a spirit of thanksgiving whether they come or not, for by Your wisdom we have been chosen to live eternally; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who with You and the Holy Spirit are one God with dominion over us forever. unday September 11th was a blessed day for us at Christ the King as we gathered to say thank you to God for 80 years of grace and blessing. In my sermon that day, the Lord reminded us that the central purpose of Christ the King Church and Preschool was, is and ever shall be the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Good News of God rescuing and redeeming us lost sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus. This continues to be the hope-filled message we proclaim to the world around us, a world steeped in a culture of death and despair.
